French Butter Crock - BC2

This is a great piece of pottery to have on your kitchen counter. A french butter crock is used to press room temp butter into the inside of the bowl attached to the lid. Then fill about a 1/2’ of water into the bottom of the base piece. Place the lid that contains the butter back into the base piece so the butter is touching the water that is in the base piece. The water seals the butter and prevents bacteria from growing on the butter for up to a month without being refrigerated. Just change the water every 3-4 days to keep the water fresh.

Glazed in Cream and Stoned Denim. Measures 4” diameter and 2.75” high.
